Restoring Immich

So i would upload photos to immich. Little did i know that if i delete files from the server I'd mess up the DB since immich thinks the files are there. It doesn't rescan? Or if it does i couldn't figure it out. I re-installed Immich from scratch and re-created my user.

After doing so click on Users

Then click the View User button.

Go to Edit user on the top right.

and rename the storage label to whatever you'd like.

Head over to the Settings page and create an API Key.

Save that Key.

Head over to unraid and run the console on Immich.

First we need to log into the account that we'll be uploading photo's into.

run the following command " immich login http://immich.url/api apikey"

Replace the url with your immich server and enter the apikey from earlier.

Once signed in

We'll upload the photos with the following command " immich upload --recursive /import/ "

It'll then crawl for assets and start uploading them.

Hopefully we learned our lesson and now i'll delete files through immich and not on the server.
